Life Insurance Settlement Association LISA is the nation’s oldest and largest organization representing participants in the Settlement Industry with a current membership of over 100 Companies, doing business in all fifty states and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. We were founded in 1995. Our membership consists of Brokers, Providers, Financing Entities, and service providers to the industry. Our mission is to promote the development, integrity and reputation of the life settlement industry and to promote competition in the market we serve. Insurance Studies Institute "Surveys of Seniors Reveal Roadblocks to Reliable Life Settlement Information": “Roadblocks” prevent consumers from obtaining the forthright and comprehensive information that they need to investigate this option, and those hindrances include: insurer interference, media bias, and inferior industry education.  Institutional Life Markets Association ILMA's mission is to expand and apply capital market solutions in life insurance, educate consumers that their insurance may be a valuable asset, expand consumer choices about how to manage it, and support the responsible growth and regulation of the industry.
